Time for a picnic! Kiwi and his friends walked up a big mountain. But a grumpy troll blocked the bridge. “ROAR!” he grumbled. “You can’t cross my bridge!”

The friends were scared. “Why are you so grumpy?” asked Kiwi. “I’m BORED!” roared the troll. “There is nothing fun to do!”

The friends tried to help. Tang told a joke. The troll didn’t laugh. Blueberri said “please.” The troll just grumbled more.

But Kiwi was watching the troll closely. And he had a big, bright idea! “I can build you something fun!” said Kiwi.

Clank! Kiwi opened his toolbox. He found a flat rock and some smooth, round pebbles. He drew circles and lines on the rock with a piece of chalk. “It’s a brand-new game!” Kiwi announced. “It’s called Rock-Slide Checkers!”

The troll’s grumpy face turned into a curious face. Kiwi showed him how to slide the pebbles. Slide, slide, jump! Soon, the troll was smiling. “FUN!” he shouted.

The troll was not grumpy anymore. He was happy! “Thank you, Kiwi,” he said. “You can all cross my bridge.” The friends had their picnic, and the happy troll played his new game all day long, all thanks to Kiwi’s clever, kind idea.
