Kiwi the Green Koala and his friends loved their new toy. It went BEEP, BOOP, FLASH! It was so much fun. Tang got very excited. He jumped up and down! Wiggle, wobble… BUMP! The toy fell down. CRASH! It did not beep or boop or flash anymore. It was broken. “Oh no!” everyone whispered.
The room was quiet and sad. But Kiwi wasn’t sad for long. He had a big, bright idea! “We don’t need beeps and boops to have fun,” Kiwi said with a smile. “We can make our OWN game! A real-life adventure game!”
Kiwi got to work. He used a big cardboard box to make a castle. He put pillows on the floor for fluffy cloud mountains. He spread out a red blanket. “Watch out!” he giggled. “It’s a hot lava river!”
Soon, the room was a whole new world. They weren’t in a house anymore. They were heroes on an adventure! They jumped over the lava river. They climbed the cloud mountains. They saved the castle! Hooray!
Everyone was laughing. They had forgotten all about the broken toy. They all agreed, the game Kiwi invented was the best game ever, because they got to be the real heroes.
