Volcano How

On a drizzly day, Kiwi, Tang, and Cheri decided to visit Taro. Greeted warmly, they soon found themselves face-to-face with Taro’s proudest achievement: a science project featuring a volcano.

“I’ve got to show you this. My volcano even simulates an eruption!” Taro announced.

His friends gathered around. The volcano did not disappoint; it erupted with DIY lava.

“That’s so cool!” Kiwi said. “But what if it had a more powerful eruption?”

“More baking soda?” Tang piped in. And before anyone could object, he dumped extra baking soda into the volcano. The reaction was immediate and overwhelming; the volcano erupted violently, leaving it a foamy wreck.

Faced with a deadline the next day, Taro was heartbroken. But his friends, sensing his despair, sprang into action.

“We can rebuild it,” Cheri said, taking on the task of refining the eruption process.

Kiwi and Taro, the duo of designers, focused on the aesthetic details like rock textures and colors. Even Tang, who had caused the disaster, found a role as the group’s cheerleader, keeping spirits high as they worked through the afternoon.

With collective effort and individual strengths shining through, the new volcano was finished. Exhausted but elated, they admired their work.

“We did it! Give yourselves a hand,” Tang said, initiating applause. Cheri teased, “You mean ‘you did it,’ right Tang?”

“I provided the motivational soundtrack, thank you very much,” Tang retorted, beaming with energy.

The following day, they accompanied Taro to his science presentation. When the instructor saw the revamped volcano, Taro received praise and the top grade in the class. His classmates were equally impressed, but Taro knew the real magic was in how his friends came together to turn a disaster into a triumph.

And so, not only did Taro get an A+ on his science project, but he also learned a valuable lesson: with good friends by your side, even the most disastrous situations can turn into opportunities for success.
